About istPositive
Last updated: 2026-05-11
istPositive is a small project with one job: read what is visible on a consumer at-home pregnancy test photograph, quickly, in your language, without asking anything it does not need to ask.
Mission
We try to hold three things at once:
- Private. Anonymous reads keep nothing on our servers. Saved results are deletable in one tap. We do not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
- Accessible. The interface is built to work in 34 languages and to render usefully on a phone in a poorly lit bathroom. We target WCAG 2.1 AA and we welcome feedback when we fall short.
- Supportive. The result page is plain. It does not celebrate or commiserate. It tells you what the model sees and points you to a clinician if you want to be sure.
What we do not have
What we do have
- A vision model from Anthropic that interprets the test image with your explicit consent.
- Engineering practice that treats your photo as special-category health data from the moment it leaves your device.
- A breach response runbook, a privacy DPO inbox, and an open security disclosure address.
- A short, written refund policy we actually honour.
What we are not
istPositive is not a medical device. It is not approved by the FDA, the EMA, the MHRA, or any other regulator. It does not diagnose pregnancy. It is not a substitute for clinical care. The Medical Disclaimer lists the limits.
